About me

Hej! Jag heter Elizabeth. I come from the UK and live in Uppsala, Sweden. I have played piano for nearly 30 years! My Grandpa had a piano and encouraged me to try it. After a few months, my Grandpa decided that I was almost as good as him and found me a piano teacher…the rest is history.

Introduction about me.

More about me.

What do I enjoy playing? I particularly enjoy playing Blues and Jazz, and classically I enjoy playing the work of Chopin and Kenneth Leighton. Sometimes I like to play different instruments as well- by playing a little guitar and singing too. I like to listen to lots of different styles of music…if there is some music you have always wanted to play let me know!

“Jack in a Jukebox” by Pamela Wedgwood. Performed by me.
“Intermezzo” by Robert Schumann.
A 90s video for a 90s song! “Dire Dire Docks” Mario Nintendo 64 by Koji Kondo.
Excerpt of “Autumn Crocus” by Billy Mayerl.

I am a qualified teacher (PGCE certification) and have worked in schools in the UK and Sweden. Gaining these qualifications and experiences mean I know what it takes to teach, and I know what it takes to learn.

I am a trained Grade 8 ABRSM certified pianist, and I hold Grade 5 ABRSM music theory. When I find time, I also like to sing and write music, so I am also able to help with song writing and composition.

Rain song. Written and composed by me.
64 Days. Written and composed by me.

Other things about me…In my spare time I also enjoy walking, painting and fashion, and my favourite animal is a sloth! Maybe see how many sloths you can see in the Music Lab

“Jenny don’t be hasty” by Paolo Nutini. Performed by me.
