Course overview

  • Learn how to make simple electronic music in a fun engaging way. Perfect for children and young people who like computers, and might be ready to explore music as well!
  • The course is held in person
  • The course can take 1 student at a time.
  • You do not need equipment at home to practice on for this course.

Who is this course for?

  • Children and young people (under 16) who would like to learn to make electronic music on a computer.
  • You like music, but have no experience playing or making music.
  • Children and young people who already play musical instruments but would like to branch out and try making and recording electronic music.
  • You like electronic music and would like to make your own (or your own version of a song*)

*From a set list given in lesson 3

This course is not for you if:

  • You are over 16. I have a course especially for adults here!
  • You want to record audio (analogue instruments and voice). Recording audio from singing or playing an instrument is a different process. If this is something you would like to do, contact me for individual pricing and information.
  • Not ready to focus for 30 minutes- Unlike my regular music lessons this course follows a set plan and curriculum. There are also electronic tools which have to be used carefully and in a certain way. To get the most out of the course you will need to follow instructions. If you don’t think you can concentrate non stop for 30 minutes, no problem at all, but individual music lessons tailored to individual needs might be more appropriate for you.

How is this course different from regular piano and singing lessons?

  • This course is set to 5 x 30 minute sessions only.
  • We have a set curriculum of things you will learn and do in this course.
  • If you would be interested in something ongoing and progressive, especially tailored to you, you may prefer to buy a pack of music lessons, which are completely individual to your wants and needs.
